Too many Turtles..........

Have I told you all about our turtle phase. It was glorious. We had 6 of them. The boys were playing in the land, and every time they crossed a path they found a turtle. They named them: Katrina, Big foot, Mystery, Rosie, Tiger, and Fireball. They were so cute. A little exotic, and fun. I made them a pen. You see I am trying to be a real country girl. I HATE cats, my dogs drive me crazy, and I can't hold the cow or pig, nor do I want too. So these little guys they were my way of being a little edgy, on the wild side. But it didn't last very long. Hubby was not very happy that we had these guys stuck in a cage. So we begged, pleaded, tried to make deals(good ones). And still the answer was no. But we had fun while it lasted here are some memories of my wild days. But first no that we enjoyed these guys, and gals tremendously. We made fun baths for them, we let them walk all around the house and even played hide and seek with them:))

Here Owen is in the pen I made, not too bad huh?

The memories not only of the turtles, but also my kids with hair. Lucy has since cut it twice and is trying to not look like a boy anymore, and Owen has a summer do.

Wow turtles for cheeks.

And these little guys, are FAST. Who said turtles were slow?? I would like to talk to them.

Blueberry Fun!

This morning a friend called and said what are you all doing today? i was like well right now we are cleaning the crust off our eyes from just waking up. She then told me to hurry up get ready and let's go blueberry picking. So I asked Bryce knowing that he in fact would say, No, That's lame, It's Saturday morning and I want to watch cartoons. But much to my dismay he said Sure, you mean like ya. So we got the kids fed, dressed and out the door. Now I can not promise that all had their teeth brushed. So we go to this place my friend is not there yet. I say this is it. Bryce says no way blueberries are on the ground. So I say let's ask, and sure enough we were in the right place. Our kids had such a great time, well all but Lucy. She wanted to be held. No honey we are picking blueberries and can't hold you right now. So she whined and we picked it was glorious:) In less that an hour we picked 5.5 lbs. I ate 4.5 lbs. I gained 25.6 lbs. OK maybe not, but this baby will be the smartest baby ever. Because I did eat a crazy amount of blueberries. So if you live close by, come enjoy a handful of blueberries.

No T. V.

We are addicted to the television. And have come so far away from our vision. I have this love hate relationship with the tube. So we are starting a new chapter in the life of the Miller Clan. We have turned it off. Can you believe that? I could not be happier. Do I miss the occasional sit down and do nothing? Why of course. But we are not disciplined enough to watch it for just a little. Our little turns into hours of wasted time. We have so many house projects that need to be done, including finding a place to put this baby come January. And well my kids .......get this they are getting along so much better. They are creative, sharing, and enjoying each other. I like this way so much better than the self absorbed children they were becoming. So put us down as weird homes schoolers I really don't care. I will take weird with relationships, and LOVE. Than selfish brats:) Sorry did not mean to get on a soap box, but it happens. So what can you do to make your family life, and home more pleasant? Consider this a CHALLENGE:))
